Color Supreme

Features

COLOR SUPREME is highly enriched with 100% pure cultured spirulina, krill, and montmorillonite clay. This formula contains all natural minerals and nutrients designed to enhance the color and luster of your cichlids. With five separate applications of color enhancers, including two types of spirulina algae, COLOR SUPREME promotes optimum color in a short period of time, while providing your fish with a high protein, well balanced diet that maintains overall health and beauty. As in all Dainichi foods, there is calcium montmorillonite clay to simulate the natural ingestion of mineral particles and to bind and neutralize metabolic toxins. Fully potent vitamins, digestive enzymes and garlic ensure that the fish are healthy and free of internal parasites. Furthermore, the scouring action of the clay enhances the rejuvenation of the digestive tract which when combined with only two sources of starch (flour as binder and wheat germ as a ntural source of vitamin E and B) ensures the maximum rate of digestion and assimilation of nutrients.

Usage

Feed your fish only as much as they will eat (immediately) in a few minutes, 2 to 4 times daily. Smaller, more frequent feeding are preferred over a single large one. Do not pre-soak the food prior use! Pre-soaking washes out vitamins, color enhancers, other nutrients, and lowers the performance of the food. All Dainichi foods have a low inclusion of starches to prevent excessive swelling in the digestive tract. Pre-soaking of Dainichi cichlid food is absolutely not required nor beneficial!

Dainichi Fish Food
Protomelas taeniolotus male commonly known in the cichlid hobby as a "red empress". The high concentration of easily assimilatable marine proteins promotes a very high growth rate and superb coloration. At the same time, the fish maintain a perfect body conformation. It is difficult, if not impossible to make Dainichi fed cichlids obese, the fish simply get larger instead!
Dainichi Fish Food
Another "red empress" male. The ultra-potent grade of spirulinal present in the COLOR SUPREME is especially effective in maximizing the red and blue colors of this cichlid variety. By not being exposed to the heat of the extrusion, these color enhancing ingredients are at 100% of their potency. We are the only manufacturer in the world that provides this level of performance in fish food.

Dainichi Fish Food
The ability of un-cooked spirulina to intensify the blue and yellow hues of cichlids is un-paralleled. Likewise, the body conformation is virtually undistinguishable from that of wild cichlids as demonstrated by the "yellow lab". The 44% protein level is a direct result of low starch and high fish meal, krill, and spirulina percentages. These two fish were fed COLOR SUPREME exclusively for three years.

Dainichi Fish Food
Nimbochromis fuscotaeniatus showing the effect of the spirulina encapsulation. The blue color is vivid and not pale as is usually the case with this cichlid specie.

Dainichi Fish Food
Yet another 'fusco'. Unlike the male in the above photo, which was switched to Dainichi food as an adult, this particular fish was raised on our foods from a length of three inches. This young male is a typical example of what coloration a common and inexpensive cichlid can attain with the proper diet. Fuscotaeniatus will certainly eat just about any type and brand of food offered to it, however, the intense blue coloration will only result from a spirulina-rich diet such as COLOR SUPREME, which has two separate applications of two different spirulina algae.

Blue fish such as this Scianochromis fryeri, benefit the most from the raw spirulina both in terms of color as well as very strong iridescence.
Dainichi Fish Food
As these 1.5" juvenile fryeri demonstrate, the color comes in very strong and fast. Our encapsulation technology is un-rivaled in this respect.

The typically gray head and upper back of this Haplochromis obliquidens take on a pronounced blue color when fed COLOR SUPREME.

Hobbyists fond of the "parrot fish" can rest assured that that the five applications of spirulina, krill, and shrimp will keep their fish bright red.

Dainichi Fish Food
This Copadichromis borleyi was previously a subject in our COLOR FX trial. After six months on that formula, the deep red-orange color looked great and the fins grew back to their former lengths. What was needed, however, was a vibrant blue 'pop' to provide a balance and contrast to the coloration. Four weeks on COLOR SUPREME is more than adequate. Without a doubt this male looks better than ever. With five applications of color enhancers, including two types of spirulina, this formula certainly provides plenty of sizzle to the reds and blues.

Dainichi Fish Food
Male 'Compressiceps' from Lake Malawi, prior to introduction to Dainichi foods. This is an adult, seven inch long fish. Unfortunately, one can easily confuse it as being a female due to its lack of color. It's no wonder its owner just gave it away.

Dainichi Fish Food
Originally raised from fry to adulthood on our FX formulas, this Labidochromis caeurelus will keep the enhanced fins and black coloration indefinitely. Once these features are permanently fixed during the juvenile development stage, these features are easily maintained with a diet of shrimp, krill, and potent blend of spirulina algae found in the COLOR SUPREME formula.

Dainichi Fish Food
This young male 'Hippo Point salmon' is a good example of this formula's effect. The gray has a distinct blue tint as a result of the raw spirulina encapsulation. Likewise, the red coloration has a strong magenta hue without a hint of orange normally seen in color foods utilizing other forms of astaxanthin.

Dainichi Fish Food
Adult female parent of the above pictured male. There is no reason why females should not have at least some color. With this formula it is an easy feat.
